Reboot teaches the tech trade from the ground up, no degree needed — and teaches working AV technicians the parts nobody teaches you on a gig. Either way, you find the people who already know them.
Grouped into 16 series across every department — audio, video, lighting, networking, rigging, operations and the business side. The Fundamentals series comes first, whatever you specialise in later. See every series and the courses in it →
Run by working professionals, where you ask about the thing you are actually stuck on rather than watching a recording of someone else's question. Recorded, with the show files and content packs to practise on afterwards.
One-to-one time with senior techs who have run the rooms you're trying to get into — the shortcut past years of finding out the hard way.
Techs who answer. Gear, show files, rates, difficult clients, whether to take the gig — the questions you can't put in a forum search.
Twelve planners and calculators for the hours before doors — subnets, power, timecode, comms, crew and signal flow. Accessible to all members, and open to everyone.
Anyone who works shows can apply to the Hire pool — you do not need a membership. Companies are matched on what you can actually do rather than what a CV claims. A place in the pool is earned at interview, and once earned it is yours to keep. Rate your skills and apply →
The community is free to join and every paid level includes it. It is where working technicians answer the questions you cannot ask on a show floor — what that connector is, why the desk is doing that, whether a rate is fair.
Anyone can join — the room itself is open and free. What sits beyond it is earned: the courses are paid, and a place in the Reboot Hire pool is worked for.
Sessions are recorded and kept, and the ones that need material come with it — the curriculum, the show file, and content to practise on. Watching somebody build a show is not the same as having the same content open in front of you while they do it.
A full curriculum and show content plan, plus an asset pack of four show concepts — corporate, concert, future tech and abstract. Wide centre renders at 3360×1080 with matching side screens, pillar crops and transition textures, clean with no baked-in text, and logos set up for keying. Built for practising playback, layering, effects, mapping and transitions on real content rather than colour bars.
A recorded session on the screen management system most large shows are run from. Coming to the library shortly.
Live sessions are part of the Engineer and Specialist levels. The recordings and their material stay available to members afterwards.
Every level includes the community. Each one above it adds something.

Reboot Hire is separate from membership. Anyone who works shows can apply, whether or not they pay for courses — a place in the pool is earned at interview, and once earned it stays yours.
Request access is the button that starts it, and these three steps are what happens after you press it — this is how you get to the courses. The free community is separate: it lives on Skool and lets you in straight away.
If you were in the Reboot AV community before courses went paid, you keep permanent access to all of it — including whatever we build next. It isn't automatic: ask for it, and it's yours.
